  16.     I had a question concerning the 1084S monitor. I haven't been keeping
  17. up with my Amiga for the past few years but I'd been using the monitor.
  18. Anyway, today, I heard a weird "pop" noise come from my monitor and the screen
  19. went blank. Afterwards, there was this whining noise but no smoke, so I turned 
  20. off the monitor. I tried to open up the cover so I could take a look inside but
  21. unfortunately I don't have the right screwdriver for the job!
  22.     Well, to make my story short, I'm having this big anxiety attack
  23. because I'm really attached to my monitor and I'm worried I can't get it fixed
  24. because of the poor hardware/tech support the Amiga gets. As I stated before,
  25. I haven't been in the Amiga "scene" for some time now and don't know where to
  26. go or who to talk to about my monitor. I think it was just a fuse that blew.
  27.     Anyway, I wanted to know if the fuses for the Amiga are of the
  28. general-type I could find at a general computer dealers ( I realize I haven't
  29. said which fuse but I couldn't get the back of my monitor open because of an 
  30. improper screwdriver)  or would the fuses have to be special ordered or 
  31. fuses of the type for the 1084S monitor are no longer (yipe) available (ugh!).
  32.     Actually, any information regarding this matter would be sincerely
  33.     appreciated.
